Bill Belichick's camp wastes no time shutting down NFL rumors

The ink is barely dry on Bill Belichick's contract with North Carolina, but already rumors are swirling that he could make his way back to the NFL. What in the world? With so many openings, speculation indeed arrived that Belichick could look to get out of his deal with UNC.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. According to Dianna Russini, Belichick has no plans to leave Chapel Hill. Matter of fact, he was out on the recruiting trail on Wednesday trying to make a splash with New Jersey recruits:

I’m told his sole focus is on coaching and recruiting for North Carolina, as he continues building the Tar Heels’ future. He’s recruiting today in New Jersey.

Do we really think Belichick would be recruiting right now if his agents were talking with NFL teams? Not a chance. While some NFL fans were ready to see Beilichick back in the pros, he's going to be focused on helping get UNC back on track in 2025 instead.
