Bill Belichick emerging as a serious candidate to take over at UNC

While a lot of people assumed legendary head coach Bill Belichick would be back in the NFL in 2025, let's go ahead and wait just a second there. Yes, Belichick is likely going to be on the sidelines next fall, but at the college level instead?
That could end up being the case, as Belichick has reportedly interviewed with the North Carolina Tar Heels to take over for Mack Brown, who was recently let go by the university. Per a report, things are heating up between UNC and Belichick:
Per sources, I’m told Bill Belichick’s negotiations with North Carolina include a guarantee that Stephen Belichick will be named the school’s head coach in waiting. UNC is open to that guarantee. Discussions are not a bid to gain leverage for NFL offers and BB is open to the move

Belichick is going to go down as one of the best head coaches in history. At 72 years young, he's not quite ready to call it a career and retire. In stunning fashion, his next stop could be leading the Chapel Hill side.
