This was the move that plenty of Ohio State Buckeyes fans were calling for. With Chip Kelly leaving the Buckeyes for the NFL/Raiders, there was an opening for the reigning champs. Yup, Ryan Day needed a new offensive coordinator.

While plenty of names floated in as candidates, Day has made the call that a lot of people wanted to see. That's right, instead of bringing in outside help, standout assistant Brian Hartline has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

Hartline had the co-offensive coordinator title last season, but it's now his job on his own to run the OSU offense. Hartline has been known as a rockstar recruiter for Day and that's going to continue moving forward. Ohio State is fresh off winning the natty last month and now the hard work to try and repeat as champs is set to get started. Hartline will be doing so with a new promotion to his name.
