Chiefs TE Travis Kelce leaves door wide open for offseason retirement

On Sunday night, the Kansas City Chiefs were hoping to make history by posting a three-peat, but the Eagles took the reigning champs down. It was a night to forget for Kansas City and superstar tight end Travis Kelce.
Following the loss, everyone is now wondering what the future will have in store for the future Pro Football Hall of Famer. On one hand, Kelce could use the loss to Philly as motivation to try and win it all next winter. However, Kelce could decide enough is enough and hang up his cleats. While speaking on his podcast, he sure sounded like someone who may have played his last down:

Kelce didn't hesitate in saying that the Super Bowl loss stings, while also addressing the retirement speculation. It indeed is something plenty of people have on their minds, as Kelce has been one of the best tight ends in the game for quite some time.
By saying he's kicking things down the road, Kelce has made it seem like no decision is going to be coming soon, which makes sense. He doesn't want to make an emotional decision after his 2024 campaign ended in such disappointing fashion. Soon enough we'll find out if Kelce will be back in 2025 or not, but KC fans aren't feeling overly optimistic he'll suit up next season.
