Enner Valencia scores unreal goal to power Ecuador to upset win over Colombia
What a goal from Valencia.
Whenever Colombia plays a home game in Barranquilla, it's almost a lock that they're going to post a win. That wasn't the case on Tuesday night with Ecuador in town. Colombia was a big favorite to win, but the Ecuadorians and Enner Valencia had other ideas.
In the first half, Richard Rios gave the ball away on a silly pass. Then, Alan Franco made a simple pass to Valencia, who then sliced his way through the Colombia defense. He then finished things off with a brilliant left-footed shot:
Ecuador commentator Alfonso Lasa only made things better with that unreal call. With the win and three points, La Tri is now in third place of the CONMEBOL table behind Argentina and Uruguay. Colombia is in fourth place.
