Jets fire GM Joe Douglas after yet another deflating loss

The terrible season for the New York Jets keeps getting worse. First, the team fired Robert Saleh thanks to a slow start. It was an eye-opening move, one that needed to be done. Now, someone else is out of a job.
That'd be general manager Joe Douglas. He essentially put all his chips into the middle of the table when he traded for Aaron Rodgers. That call has backfired, as the Jets are a total mess right now. Douglas was fired on Tuesday morning:

This was a season where the Jets were supposed to push for an AFC East title and go on a deep postseason run. Instead, they're 3-8 on the year, in need of a new head coach and GM this offseason. Nothing has gone right for Gang Green in 2024.
