Manchester United to face La Liga team in Europa League Round of 16

While it has been a nightmare season for Manchester United, again, there's still plenty to play for. MUFC is in the hunt to repeat as the FA Cup champions, while the EPL powerhouse has reached the Round of 16 for the Europa League.
On Friday, the draw went down and United now knows it will be taking on La Liga's Real Sociedad in the next round. The first leg will take place in Spain, while the second and decisive leg will feature these two teams under the bright lights at Old Trafford.

United will be a heavy favorite to move on to the quarterfinals and there will really be no excuses for them. Winning the Europa League will be the club's last hope of playing in the Champions League next season. Keep in mind that the winners of the Europa League title earn an automatic place in the Champions League.
After sacking Erik Ten Hag, the hope was that Ruben Amorim would be able to turn things around, but if anything, the season has only gotten worse for Manchester United. Winning the Europa League would help lessen the blow on what has been a terrible campaign across the board for the Red Devils.
