New York Giants finally bench Daniel Jones as their starting QB

It was only a matter of time until this news dropped. Now in Year 6, things simply haven't gone according to plan for quarterback Daniel Jones with the New York Giants. Following the loss to Carolina in Week 10, the G-Men fell to 2-8 on the year.
It's a lost season. Fans were hoping 2024 would be the year where Jones would be able to get back on track, but that hasn't been the case. Now, we won't see him start another game for this team, as the team announced that he has officially been benched.

Out of the bye week, with the team 2-8, Jones now heads to the bench in what the team has said would be a football decision. pic.twitter.com/NaiVruk6sq
Not a surprise at all. The stunner here, though, is that Tommy DeVito will take over as the team's starting quarterback instead of backup Drew Lock. Joe Schoen gave Lock $5 million this offseason to be QB2, but this is now DeVito's offense moving forward.
