Patrick Mahomes overcomes injury scare in MNF win over Bucs

Hearts probably stopped all over Kansas City on Monday night when star quarterback Patrick Mahomes went down on the turf and had to be helped off the field. It sure looked like a serious injury for the quarterback, but he didn't even miss any time.
Wild. It was a minor ankle injury for Mahomes, which didn't stop him from helping the Chiefs post a thrilling 30-24 overtime win over the Bucs. On the night, Mahomes tossed for 291 yards and three touchdowns. The Chiefs remain undefeated, as they're now 8-0.

This was the kind of performance Chiefs fans were hoping for, as two of Mahomes' TD passes went to DeAndre Hopkins. Travis Kelce also had a big night, but a lost fumble was rough. In the end, though, KC pulled out yet another primetime win.
