There's always a constant push to make football more intriguing. Raising the entertainment level of the game is the entire purpose of the XFL.

The NFL is trying to innovate, too. On Tuesday afternoon, the league released a list of rule changes proposed by various teams. One of them included a new alternative to the onside kick, which was proposed by the Philadelphia Eagles. The alternative method of getting the ball back would be to have a 4th and 15 play from the kicking team's 25-yard line.

That's just one of seven proposed rule changes from the Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, and Los Angeles Chargers.

This possible change would make getting the ball back a bit realistic and prevent injuries given how of a high-impact play onside kicks can be. It would also eliminate the possibility of another embarrassing special teams blunder on the Eagles part.

Time for the XFL to test this baby out? We think so.
