With NBA Free Agency taking the sports world by storm on Sunday, it's now the NHL's turn. With plenty of top-level free agents available, teams are looking to find the guy who can take their team to the promised land...the Stanley Cup Final.
But how much money in total can teams spend, you ask?
The salary cap for the upcoming 2019-20 season is worth $81.5 million.

Prior to the announcement on the second day of the NHL Entry Draft, commissioner Gary Bettman projected the cap to be up to $83 million. Instead, he was $1.5 million off.
With each salary cap, there's a salary floor that each team must meet for the upcoming season. NHL franchises must have at least $60.2 million on the books.
It’s official now. $81.5M salary cap. Salary floor is $60.2M
