Alabama QB Signee Bryce Young Gets Ratings Boost to Become No. 2 Overall Player in 2020 Class
By Sam Dunn

The rich just got a bit richer with a tidbit of recruiting news that was handed down Thursday. Bryce Young, an Alabama commit and the top quarterback prospect in the nation was already regarded as a potential superstar at the college level -- but he's just gotten even more love from a leading player-rater.
On the 247Sports Composite ranking, Young has been bumped up. He's now the No. 2 player on the entire list for the class of 2020.

Only player ranked ahead of him is Clemson defensive tackle signee Bryan Bresee.
Nice work if you can get it for Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
Young, a dual threat star out of Santa Ana, California, wasn't even a top-30 player in the 247Sports Composite when he flipped his commitment from USC to Alabama in September. Since then, his stock has only risen -- he even earned MVP honors in the All-American Bowl earlier this month.

Young has future star written all over him. At this rate, the competition this fall for the right to succeed Tua Tagovailoa as the Tide's No. 1 quarterback could be a fascinating race.
