Ozuna is having a solid year at the plate for the St. Louis Cardinals. He's posted an .833 OPS in 166 plate appearances this year and has slugged 11 home runs. His .511 slugging percentage is almost 80 points higher than it was in 2018.
He's not the only noteworthy star to ditch Boras this season, though. Gio Gonzalez dropped him in April before he chose to sign back with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Ozuna is in the midst of a season in which the Cardinals are paying him $12.5 million. After that, the market will dictate his value, and Roman will be his representative.

Not having to negotiate with Boras might make a return to St. Louis for Ozuna much more likely. Roman also represents franchise star catcher Yadier Molina, so the familiarity with the organization ought to help.
