2020 NFL Draft QB Wonderlic Scores Revealed and Tua Tagovailoa is the Biggest Loser
By Brady Williams

Tua Tagovailoa just can't seem to catch a break. He's had a bevy of injuries that have called his pro-readiness into question, and just when he supposedly recovered, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented scouts from meeting with him. Now, the Wonderlic scores among this year's quarterback prospects have been revealed, and Tua is taking another tough L if these are official.
The Alabama Crimson Tide gunslinger has the lowest score among the top quarterbacks. Sitting at the bottom of a list that tests mental aptitude is a huge problem for a guy who's physical problems have already made him a riskier draft option.

Then again, some of the highest score holders among NFL quarterbacks are Ryan Fitzpatrick, Greg McElroy, Jason Maas and Blaine Gabbert. None of those guys are eyeing up a Hall of Fame induction. While the Wonderlic doesn't always predict success, it's certainly bad press when something like this surfaces so close to the draft.
The Miami Dolphins are currently the favorite team to select Tua at No. 5 overall, but nothing is ever guaranteed, and his major hip injury, now coupled with this, is concerning.
On the night before the league halted visits between college prospects and NFL teams, the Dolphins rushed to try to get Tua Tagovailoa to Miami, per a source. Tagovailoa was the first college prospect the Dolphins tried to bring to Miami in March. But March 13, NFL banned visits.

On the optimistic side of things, this could just be another bump in the road for Tagovailoa. After all, he didn't throw for 7,442 yards with 87 touchdowns in 32 games at Alabama by accident.
