3 Remaining 2020 Targets Georgia Can Land to Get Over Sting of Potentially Losing Zach Evans

Zach Evans, the top running back in the 2020 class and a 5-star talent, is reportedly trying to back out of his decision to sign with the Georgia Bulldogs. While that news is sure to sting most Dawgs fans, especially considering D'Andre Swift just recently chose to take his talents to the NFL, all is not lost. Several top recruits remain in the 2020 class, and should Kirby Smart and Co. refocus their interest elsewhere, they might be able to cut their losses and improve the class, after all.

3. Ennis Rakestraw

Rakestraw may only be a 3-star talent out of Texas, but the Bulldogs have been high on him, hence their recent visit and 247sports declaring the Duncanville DB as 'warm' on the Bulldogs. UGA has two cornerbacks in the current class, and adding another could do wonders for their secondary depth moving forward.

2. Daijun Edwards

Edwards, a 4-star RB out of Moultrie, Georgia, would be the kind of in-state pickup to get Dawgs fans back on their feet. At the same position as Evans, no less, Edwards would build upon Georgia's already-impressive RB depth.

1. Avantae Williams

Williams is the No. 2 safety in the country and Georgia is rapidly rising in his rankings. While Florida holds the edge for the Lakeland native, per 247sports, the Dawgs recent visits makes them a dangerous threat should they refocus their attention his way after losing out on Evans.
