2021 5-Star QB Brock Vandagriff Picks Georgia After Decommitting From Oklahoma
By Sam Dunn

That sound you hear is Kirby Smart, James Coley, and the rest of the Georgia coaching staff clinking glasses, because they just realized a major recruiting coup. After backing out of his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners, all-world 2021 quarterback prospect Brock Vandagriff announced Tuesday morning that he's joining up with the Dawgs.

Vandagriff, an local product out of Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Georgia, just a quick jaunt from Athens, is the No. 8 overall prospect in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings, as well as the No. 1-ranked pro style quarterback. He may be considered a bit undersized compared to the prototypical stud -- he's listed at just over 6-2 and around 200 pounds -- but it's quite possible that this kid is still growing.
And it must be said that there are a whole lot of measurables are there.
All told, the news is a big win for UGA, and the culmination of what was already a frustrating setback for Lincoln Riley and the Sooners.
