VIDEO: 4-Star 2021 OL Micah Morris Announces Commitment to Georgia
By Sam Dunn
Another day, another stud high school prospect pledging his college years to Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia. It's harder and harder to feel surprised whenever a top recruit casts his lot with UGA, as it's become tradition in recent years for the Bulldogs to reign atop the college football recruiting rankings. Their chances to do so again in 2021 got even better on Wednesday, as Peach State offeensive lineman Micah Morris announced his commitment to play ball in Athens.
A 4-star prospect out of Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia, Morris turned down offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, and South Carolina to join up with the Dawgs. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 316 pounds, he's the No. 11 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 73 prospect overall according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
And since he hasn't yet finished his junior year of high school, he's almost certainly still growing. Just think about that.
When it comes to UGA and recruting, the rich are constantly getting richer. In these days of COVID-19, nothing feels quite normal, but some things truly stay the same. Call it another feather in the cap for Coach Smart and Co.
