247sports Reveals First Official Rankings for Class of 2022

Recruiting is vital for any college football program to be successful. Coaches have to be scouting athletes in their early high school years in order to make the case as to why these talented athletes should join their program. As weird as it sounds, some coaches are already looking towards the Class of 2022.
The 247Sports crew have released their first official rankings for the Class of 2022, giving us an idea as to which athletes are attracting the most attention right now.

The only current 5-star recruit is Shemar Stewart out of Opa Locka FL. Of course, many other promising talents will eventually earn their 5-star rating as they still have two more seasons of high school football to play.
These ratings are still in the preliminary stage and are subject to change, but halfway through their high school careers, experts have the chance to predict where these sophomore football players stack up.

As many of the recruits are still far from a concrete commitment date, colleges are almost definitely piling up in bunches to try and persuade the young talent to join their program.
