Philadelphia Eagles fans can't wait to see their squad take the field Week 1 against Washington, and now they have a bit of a preview after the team released its first unofficial depth chart.

The Birds don't have many question marks on their roster, but a few depth chart details raised some questions. Here are three takeaways from the Eagles' first depth chart of the 2019-20 season.

3. Injured Sudfeld Listed as Backup

Nate Sudfeld was slated to be the backup to Carson Wentz before a wrist injury suffered in the preseason sidelined the young quarterback. The Eagles were forced to sign a quarterback, convincing Josh McCown to come out of retirement with a nice payday. Even with the 40-year-old McCown and his 99 career games, the inexperienced Sudfeld is listed as the backup. With Wentz's injury history, a seasoned veteran would be the safer option to backup the franchise quarterback. After Doug Pederson deflected questions about who the backup will be when Sudfeld returns, this gives us a good idea of his feelings on the matter.

2. Maddox Listed as Starting Outside Corner

Second-year defensive back Avonte Maddox shined in his rookie season for an injury-plagued Eagles' secondary. The versatile DB returns to the secondary this year listed as the a starting cornerback, which comes as a surprise after Pederson said Ronald Darby and Sidney Jones would be the starters on Monday. It's likely that all three will see the field against Washington, but in what capacity remains to be seen. Jones has been touted as a starting corner for most of the offseason, so if Maddox lines up outside on Sunday, expect the Philadelphia fan base to have plenty of questions.

1. Hall Loses Fourth DE Job

It's hard to find a player who had a better preseason than defensive end Daeshon Hall. The former third-round pick recorded four sacks and three forced fumbles this preseason, seemingly playing himself into the fourth defensive end role. The job is significant, as defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz loves to rotate his defensive line. But alas, the depth chart shows Josh Sweat as the fourth DE at the moment. Sweat has done little to deserve this job, as he was clearly outplayed by Hall. On merit, this spot belongs to Hall. But this is Sweat's second year in the system and pundits expect him to break out this year. There's time for Hall to claim that spot as his, but for now, the team is putting its trust in Sweat.
