The Yankees have climbed their way to the top of the AL East mountain, but that doesn't mean they're without their vulnerabilities. Injuries have ravaged them, leaving open the possibility of some less-than-ideal situations through the dog days of summer. With that in mind, here are the three biggest trade deadline questions that face the Bronx Bombers.

1. Can They Rely on the Return of Luis Severino?

The ace of the Yankees' staff, Luis Severino, has yet to pitch in a game in 2019 due to rotator cuff inflammation. The injury is expected to keep him out until after the All-Star break, and if they're not encouraged by his progression in rehab, the team may be forced to swing a trade for another starter (Keep an eye on Max Scherzer!).

2. Is Clint Frazier on the Block?

Clint Frazier played a pivotal role in keeping the Yankees' outfield intact while Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Hicks and Aaron Judge were all on the IL. It's unlikely, however, that any major trade could be completed without Frazier's inclusion. When the top starters inevitably return, he may suddenly become expendable.

3. Will Cashman Pursue a Reliever?

With Dellin Betances out until at least June due to a shoulder impingement, GM Brian Cashman may need to address the bullpen. Relievers like Tony Watson and Will Smith, both of whom excel at keeping the ball inside the park, could be important pieces for the Yankees in a deep playoff run.
