3 Free Agents Packers Should Sign to Complete Offseason

The Green Bay Packers, once "winners" of the 2019 offseason, have almost gone out of their way to screw up the 2020 offseason. From not adding any new receivers for Aaron Rodgers more talented than Devin Funchess, while drafting his successor in Jordan Love with their 2020 first-round pick, Green Bay has done very little to improve their team after a 13-3 season. The only way Brian Gutekunst can salvage some good will is adding one of these three free agents.

3. WR Taylor Gabriel

The least the Packers can do for Rodgers after failing to add a promising future star in the 2020 NFL Draft is pick up a guy with years of experience making big plays in Gabriel. The diminutive, speedy wide receiver struggled for playing time last year after setting a new career high in receiving yards in 2018, but that doesn't mean that he can't be a game-breaking weapon as a runner or as a vertical threat given how he can turn any play into a track meet with his acceleration.

2. LB Nigel Bradham

While there are bigger name defensive free agents out there, it remains a mystery as to how Bradham has remained unsigned despite starting for the last eight years with the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers linebacking corps is a bunch of question marks at the moment, as Oren Burks has never held down a starting role in his career while Christian Kirksey is as inconsistent as they come, Adding Bradham gives the Packers a two-down thumper and veteran leader in their corps.

1. DL Mike Daniels

Daniels took a one-year sabbatical with the Detroit Lions after his surprising cut, and it didn't go so well, as he managed just 10 tackles and one sack in nine games, only two of which he started. While his stock is as low as possible right now, defensive coordinator Mike Pettine clearly knows how to get the most out of Daniels, and he could start next to Dean Lowry and Kenny Clark should he return.
