3 Mets Players Who Could be Dealt at the Deadline
With the New York Mets falling apart and out of contention, it's time to examine the possibility of them becoming sellers at the MLB Trade Deadline. Here are three potential players the Mets could deal at the deadline.
1. Zack Wheeler
Wheeler is the most obvious name on this list because of the number of rumors surrounding the right-hander. Wheeler owns a 6-6 record with a 4.69 ERA this season. Thus far, he has drawn interest from teams including the Yankees, Red Sox and Phillies, and will soon garner more as the deadline approaches.
2. Todd Frazier
Frazier could be a buy-low veteran option for teams looking for an experienced hitter. Frazier has had success in all sorts of environments, and a team looking for a power-hitting option could swing a deal for the third baseman. On the season, Frazier is posting a .256 average, .340 OBP and 11 home runs.
3. Noah Syndergaard
If the Mets want to jumpstart their rebuild, they could look into trading star pitcher Noah Syndergaard. The team had discussions revolving around Thor in the offseason, and the starting pitcher would undoubtedly command a haul from interested teams. The Mets are a mess, and no one should be off the table if things continue in this downward trajectory.
