3 Players the Cowboys Are Guaranteed to Lose in Free Agency
By Brady Williams
The Dallas Cowboys nearly made the playoffs in 2019, but finally got rid of Jason Garrett after falling short of even their easiest end goal to attain. With plenty of internal changes, and a new regime under Mike McCarthy, the inhabitants of Jerry World are going to look a lot different next season.
3. Byron Jones
Byron Jones was drafted in 2015, and as such, his rookie contract is at its end. The corner has been serviceable, but the Cowboys need to clear space after dishing out for Ezekiel Elliott. With multiple teams reportedly pursuing Jones, the Cowboys seem ready to say goodbye.
2. Michael Bennett
The former Seattle Seahawk hasn't entertained the idea of retirement just yet. Now an unrestricted free agent, he's expressed a desire to return to the playoffs. The Cowboys may be the ticket to get there, but he wasn't electrifying on defense, and didn't seem like a fit during his short tenure, showing off plenty of resemblance to his time in New England.
1. Randall Cobb
Cobb hauled in over 800 yards last season, but only scored three touchdowns. He's a useful slot receiver, but it's possible Dallas has already gotten the best out of him, with so many more weapons left to pay. If he can find a better deal, there's no reason he'll stay with the Cowboys.
