3 Players Who Definitely Won't Be on the Bills Roster Next Season
By Jerry Trotta
Heading into halftime on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills were perfectly positioned to pull of a road upset of the Houston texans.
However, history reared its ugly head as Josh Allen's poise plummeted in the final two quarters, and Buffalo ultimately squandered a 16-0 lead to the tune of a gut-wrenching 22-19 overtime defeat.
Now, the Bills must brave the wilderness that is the offseason. It goes without saying that the organization will be forced to cut ties with some impending free agents. Let's highlight some of those players.
3. OT LaAdrian Waddle
Buffalo will undoubtedly be in the market for offensive line help, and that will likely see the organization part ways with Waddle. The Texas Tech product came over from New England ahead of 2019, but unfortunately missed the entire campaign (a contract year) with a torn right quad. We can't imagine that the Bills will re-sign him.
2. S Kurt Coleman
Put on your GM hat, and answer this: would you be motivated to sign a 31-year-old safety that appeared in 14 games and compiled just two tackles? That's it. Those were his only contributions in 2019. We hope the answer is no. Coleman was productive during his prime years in the league, but he's way past that at this point.
1. Frank Gore
If Saturday's Wild Card loss proved anything, it's that rookie Devin Singletary is ready to take over as Buffalo's workhouse tailback. Though Gore provided a nice change of pace in his age 36 season, the future Hall of Famer is undecided on his NFL future. All signs point to Gore's tenure with the Bills coming to a close.
