With the 2019 NHL Draft just ten days away, teams are starting to narrow down who they plan on taking. One of those teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs, have an important offseason ahead of them and that includes knocking out of the park with acquiring young talent. Without a selection in the first round, the Leafs will need to evaluate remaining available options. These three prospects could be on the Maple Leafs' radar when their 53rd overall pick comes around.

1. John Beecher

Beecher, an 18 year-old center, has the size and skill that the Leafs need. At 6-foot-3 and 209 pounds, Beecher's size allows him to be gritty and physical in puck battles. Although he plans to join the Michgan Wolverines next season, Beecher could develop into a solid player for the Leafs a few years down the line.

2. Michal Teply

Michal Teply is another productive forward that could add size to the Leaf's lineup in the future. Over the past two years, Teply has spent his time playing for Bili Tygri Liberec of the Czech Republic. He's had decent point totals over his last couple of seasons, including solid performances in international play. In the next couple of years, the Leafs could transform him into a second or third-line winger on their roster.

3. Alex Beaucage

Beaucage had a great season in the QMJHL this year, tallying 79 points in the regular season and another 16 in the playoffs. Another potential winger for the Leafs, Beaucage is projected to go anywhere in the middle of the second round. If he does fall far enough that the Leafs could get him at 53, he could grow into a top forward in Toronto.
