In less than a month, rosters expand, and teams can bring up players from their minor league system who are on their 40-man roster. The New York Yankees currently have the best record in the American League, but the Houston Astros are right on their heels.

So, who can the Yankees bring up in September to give them home-field advantage throughout the postseason? Here are three September call-ups who'd help the Yankees clinch the best record in baseball.

3. INF Tyler Wade

Tyler Wade has had a couple small stints at the big league level and it hasn't gone too well for him, as he's hitting .216 with one extra-base hit in 21 games. However, he's a versatile infielder, and in 74 games at Triple-A, he's hitting .303 with 25 extra-base hits. Whether it's as a late-game defensive replacement or a pinch-runner, Wade gives this Yankee team depth, which is always welcome for contenders down the stretch.

2. OF Clint Frazier

This is the most obvious call-up, as outfielder Clint Frazier very recently was a force in the middle of the Yankees lineup when some of their key starters were out with injury. Frazier is hitting .283 with 11 home runs over 53 games at the big league level. His minor league stints haven't been great, but that'll change when he's back in the Bronx.

1. RHP Deivi Garcia

New York's biggest problem heading down the stretch is whether they have enough pitching, especially in the rotation. Bringing up their top pitching prospect Deivi Garcia, who is already at Triple-A, could help them out in September. He's got electric stuff that can get big league hitters out. They'll need to make a roster move to put him on the 40-man, but that's not a problem when talking about your No. 1 overall prospect who'll need to be protected soon anyway.
