3 Teams That Need to Tank for Chase Young
By Sean Facey
Throughout the college football season, Chase Young has consistently proven himself to be an electrifying playmaker. Every snap he takes and every sack he makes solidifies him as the top overall pick, especially following Tua Tagovailoa's injury. He'll be a welcome addition to any NFL defense, and these three teams in particular absolutely need to tank for the Ohio State Buckeyes star.
3. New York Giants
The Giants are a young team with a handful of rising stars, and one more in Chase Young could be enough to push them over the edge. Having a threat like him off the edge on defense could help turn their unit into one of the best in the league, and that, in turn, could help give their offense more chances to drive the ball down the field.
2. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are objectively one of the most horrendous teams in recent memory. They have no notable players on either side of the ball and are at the outset of an incredibly deep rebuild. All things considered, Young would be the perfect first pick for them. They've managed just 13 sacks this year, tied for the lowest mark in the NFL, and he'd at least provide Miami with an exciting star who can carry the defensive line for the next few years.
1. Cincinnati Bengals
The only team with a more dire need than the Dolphins for Young's services are the winless Cincinnati Bengals. They, too, have managed a measly 13 sacks this year and are in desperate need of help on the defensive line. Veteran star Geno Atkins could use some assistance in rushing the passer. They're on the inside track for the No. 1 pick in the 2020 draft, and if they want to avoid another season as disappointing as this one, they'll draft Chase Young to revitalize their defense.
