3 Teams That Should Trade for Stefon Diggs if Vikings Make Him Available
It's looking like Stefon Diggs' tenure on the Minnesota Vikings might be coming to an end. Trade speculations for the wide receiver have been heating up in the days following the team's dreadful loss to the Bears on Sunday. Diggs has added to the drama by through his some interesting Twitter likes, missing practice with a non-injury, and finally his comments at Thursday's practice.
Well, with Diggs' future in Minnesota looking to be in jeopardy, here are a few teams who should go after the stud wideout.
1. Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers have a ton of potential, but one position they could use a boost in as at wide receiver. Keenan Allen is one of the best in the league, but Los Angeles needs a second wideout to help make up for the loss of Mike Williams, who is out with a knee injury. With Melvin Gordon set to return in Week 5, adding a receiver of Diggs' caliber would bring this Chargers' offense to another level.
2. San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco has gotten off to a surprisingly good start this season, still sporting an undefeated 3-0 record. The top receiver on the Niners thus far? Tight end George Kittle who has 17 receptions for 165 yards on the year. In fact, no wideout on the team has more than a single receiving touchdown. Diggs would provide the star needed at the position for the 49ers to truly be considered contenders.
3. New Orleans Saints
After an impressive win against a tough Cowboys team last Sunday, the Saints are proving they're still a problem even without Drew Brees. But with Teddy Bridgewater under center, the passing game has seen an expected downtick in production. Pairing Diggs alongside Michael Thomas would present a massive upgrade over the Saints' current WR2 Ted Ginn Jr.
