3 Times Josh Allen Lost His Damn Mind in Final Minutes of Bills-Texans Wild Card Game
By Mark Powell
Frankly, we're not sure either the Bills or Texans wanted to win their Wild Card tilt. Specifically, Buffalo QB Josh Allen -- who has made tremendous strides this season, we might add -- forced some of the worst decisions we've seen from the Wyoming product in the final minutes of regulation. In totality, they've created a masterpiece.
3. Takes Sack and Intentional Grounding
To be fair, the Bills offensive line didn't do Allen any favors, but you absolutely cannot take a sack there. Allen's flaw proved to be a drive-killer, and led to even more frustration on the following play.
2. Sack on Fourth Down
Josh no! On fourth down especially, Allen should've just chucked this up for grabs. At worst, it's your basic turnover on downs. Instead, he gave up a good chunk of field position, which would come into play later as the Bills settled for a game-tying field goal as time expired.
1. Allen Laterals Ball and Fumbles
Allen is an exceptional runner, and clearly was trying to avoid going down in-bounds. Yet, with over a minute remaining, the Bills could've found a way to spike the ball rather than risking a potential turnover. While this wasn't as costly as it could've been, Allen is lucky, because that foolish decision had disaster written all over it.
