3 Undrafted Rookies That Could Actually Make the Patriots

Death, taxes, and the New England Patriots drafting well. Even after another Super Bowl ring, New England has replenished their roster despite losing Rob Gronkowski by adding some quality talent in Arizona State's N'Keal Harry, Vanderbilt's Joejuan Williams and Michigan's Chase Winovich. Unsurprisingly, they've pulled in an excellent crop of free agents, some of whom could make the Patriots' roster.

1. Texas TE Andrew Beck

Texas v Iowa State
Texas v Iowa State / David Purdy

After losing Gronk, the Patriots surprisingly chose not to use a premium draft pick on a tight end, which makes Beck one of the UDFAs with a great chance at cracking the Patriots. An H-back with experience as a fullback, Beck makes up for average athletic ability with great hands and vicious blocking ability, which are essential to being a Patriots tight end.

2. Marshall DB Malik Gant

Marshall v Florida Atlantic
Marshall v Florida Atlantic / Joel Auerbach

Gant plays like a torpedo in the secondary, flying in from off the screen to blow up plays before they ever get started. He pairs this with a tremendous football IQ that gives him great range in zone coverage. Gant is also a versatile player, with experience at safety and corner. Gant is a low floor player that hits hard, which could make him an ace on special teams.

3. North Carolina State WR Jakobi Meyers

Boston College v North Carolina State

How did you idiots let Meyers go undrafted and end up in New England? Lining up alongside Kelvin Harmon in a Ryan Finley-led offense, Meyers was a slippery runner after the catch with solid hands and tremendously precise route running. If Bill Belichick could draw a wide receiver up on a board, it would look like Meyers. He could be a contributor in Year 1.
