Training camp is under way around the NFL, which means Odell Beckham Jr. took the field in a Cleveland Browns uniform for the first time Thursday morning. OBJ will look to show out for the Browns this season, but what about the smaller names that may not make the final roster? Here are three league veterans the Browns should cut entering training camp.

1. WR Jaelen Strong

Jaelen Strong has played in the league since 2015, having been drafted by the Texans in the third round. After suffering a torn ACL while on the Jaguars in 2017 and spending the entire 2018 season on the outside of the league looking in, Cleveland isn’t the place for the Arizona State product. Strong’s release would allow for more reps for younger guys like Antonio Callaway and Rashard Higgins.

2. OL Bryan Witzmann

Bryan Witzmann has been an NFL journeyman, going undrafted in 2014 and making appearances with the Texans, Chiefs and Bears along the way. Now 29 years old, Witzmann is trying to find a home. The Browns already have Eric Kush as a veteran on the offensive line -- with whom Witzmann shared the right guard role with last year -- and Cleveland has no need to keep both players around for the long haul.

3. DL Anthony Zettel

Anthony Zettel played 15 games for the Browns last year, but hasn’t been producing the way he did back in Detroit. The 26-year-old saw his numbers dip dramatically in Cleveland: he had 14 combined tackles last year compared to his total of 43 with Detroit in 2017. He racked up 16 QB hits two seasons ago only to come up with zero in 2018.
