4 Realistic Trade Destinations for Jets RB Le'Veon Bell on Deadline Day
Is Le'Veon Bell's career with the Jets already coming to a close? That very well could be the case. On Tuesday, Jets reporter Manish Mehta broke the news New York is looking to trade the star running back.
Despite all the drama that surrounds Bell, you can't deny he's a great player. So which teams should pick up the phone on deadline day and make a move to land him?
4. Lions
Standing at 3-3-1 this season, the Detroit Lions have been the textbook definition of inconsistent. To make matters worse, they recently placed young running back Kerryon Johnson on IR due to a knee injury. Enter Mr. Bell? Le'Veon would bring dynamic moves to the offense and would certainly make life easier on Matthew Stafford.
3. Eagles
Never rule out Philly and Howie Roseman from making a big-time move to help out Doug Pederson. Could it be Bell this year? While it would mean the Eagles would likely need to include a stud like Jordan Howard as part of a package, Eagles fans would gladly take Bell over him. With Bell's ability to make space in the open field and catch the rock, Carson Wentz would be in heaven if he lined up behind him.
2. Texans
With superstars like Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins powering the offense, it's no shock the Texans are 5-3 on the season. However, the running game has been a bit of an issue for them. Carlos Hyde has done an admirable job leading the way for the RBs, but he's not explosive. A guy like Bell could really help this team reach a new level and open up even more doors for Watson.
1. Chiefs
While this most certainly isn't the likeliest of moves, it'd no doubt be the most head-turning. The Chiefs' run game hasn't been the same since Kareem Hunt was released. Damien Williams entered the year as the starter, but injuries have hurt him. LeSean McCoy has been the RB1 of late, but he looked rough on Sunday night against the Packers. If KC wants to take down New England this postseason, they'll need to make a move. Why not go after Le'Veon?
