4-Star WR Commits to Oklahoma Over Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Many Others
Lincoln Riley is known for making noise out on the recruiting trail, and he just made a major move for the 2021 class. Out of Florida, 4-star wide receiver Mario Williams was one of the top uncommitted prospects still on the board.
Things changed on Friday, though, as the nation's No. 4 WR shut his recruitment down and announced he'll be headed to Oklahoma.
That's a young man who is FIRED up to be heading to the Big 12. Riley and his coaches are undoubtedly equally excited, as they beat out more than 30 other teams to land Williams' services. In total, the 5-10, 165-pounder had 34 tenders on the table.
He trimmed his list down to a top five of Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma and Florida, with the Sooners eventually coming out on top.
Oklahoma is now up to six verbal pledges for the '21 class. Knowing Riley, only more good recruiting news will be on the way in the coming weeks and months.
