49ers Activate Kwon Alexander off IR Ahead Of Vikings Game
By Michael Luciano

Between JJ Watt and Kwon Alexander, torn pecs are nothing anymore.
Alexander, like Watt before him, was activated off of injured reserve by the San Francisco 49ers, and it appears as if he will play in their playoff matchup against Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook and the Minnesota Vikings in Santa Clara.

A fourth-round pick out of LSU, Alexander made the Pro Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as he piled up 145 tackles in just his second season in the league. Injuries have prevented him from playing a full 16 games in each of the last three seasons.
In eight 2019 games with SF, Alexander made 34 tackles while notching a half-sack and an interception. His ability to cover ground in the secondary and fill running lanes makes him a valuable Swiss Army knife for Kyle Shanahan on that side of the ball.

The 49ers didn't lose a game in which Alexander was able to play, and Robert Saleh's already physical unit could get even more stingy with Alexander, Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw all patrolling the defense at the same time.
