49ers Absolutely Need to Call the Browns if Rumors of Vikings-Odell Beckham Jr. Trade Are True
By Scott Rogust

The NFL world is abuzz after rumors suggested the Minnesota Vikings were negotiating a trade with the Cleveland Browns that would land them star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Even though a Vikings insider squashed said rumors, we can't rule out the possibility of OBJ being sent elsewhere. If anything, more teams will be enticed to make a move for the talented wideout.
One team that should be hammering the phone line of Browns general manager is the San Francisco 49ers.
So, as I reported this morning on @MandMWFAN, Source has told me that the Browns and Vikings are in discussions on a trade that would send @obj to the Vikings for a 2nd and 5th round pick next year. Trade is not done, but the deal is being discussed.

Even though the 49ers are a relatively stacked squad, their main weakness entering the 2020 regular season is at the receiver position. The team couldn't bring back trade deadline acquisition Emmanuel Sanders after he signed with the New Orleans Saints.
Why not make a run for OBJ and use the No. 13 pick on another wide receiver to make the offense one of the most feared in the league? Or just acquire him and use the two first-rounders on other talent, like someone to replace DeForest Buckner. It doesn't matter!
Odell reportedly told opposing players to "come get me" during at least one game in October.

Look, it's no secret how much the 49ers covet Beckham, as they were reportedly linked to him ever since he was still on the New York Giants. Now's the time to try and acquire him. Considering the 49ers don't have any selections in Rounds 2-4, they can give Cleveland pick No. 31 to finalize a deal. Easy.
If San Francisco wants to make a return to the Super Bowl, they have to bolster their receiving corps. The lone addition of Beckham will do just that.
