49ers TE George Kittle Doubtful for Monday Night Game vs Seahawks
By Ian Anderson
The San Francisco 49ers may be undefeated, but not all is going smoothly for Kyle Shanahan's squad.
Heading into Monday night's bout with the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers may be without their most talented offensive weapon as star tight end George Kittle is dealing with a knee and ankle injury.
Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle has received doubtful status for the game against Seattle, due to a knee injury suffered in a battle with the Arizona Cardinals.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that if any other player on his team had sustained that injury they would be out, a testament to Kittle's renowned toughness and "football guy" mentality.
After his breakout year last season, Kittle has cemented his status as one of the premier tight ends in professional football. In eight games this year George has recorded 46 catches along with 541 yards and two scores.
While losing Kittle is a huge blow, the Niners could be getting both of their starting tackles, Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey back from injury, as well as starting fullback Kyle Juszczyk.
