The San Francisco 49ers have tabbed their man to try and slow down the top threat in Green Bay's aerial attack.

Second-year defensive back Emmanuel Moseley has been tasked with covering two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday night.

Moseley will be starting ahead of Ahkello Witherspoon, who was on the field for just 27 percent of the teams' defensive snaps in the Divisional Round showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.

Richard Sherman typically shuts down the left side of the field, which is actually Aaron Rodgers' favorite area to throw to. Because of Sherman's other-worldly ability, the Packers' are reportedly planning on lining Adams up on the Niners' other CB, which in this case happens to be Moseley. Should they need to, San Francisco could try to shadow Adams with Sherman crossing sides, but they hope that's not necessary.

Moseley truly showed out against Minnesota, logging five tackles and two passes defended despite not starting on defense. He forced Kirk Cousins into some tough decisions a week ago, and that's what helped carry the 49ers to within one win of a Super Bowl berth.

If one thing is for certain, it's that he's shown the ability to play at a high level. He balled out when the the 49ers needed him most, and the defense will ride the hot hand in the hopes of shutting down one of Rodgers' favorite targets.

It'll be interesting to see if the move pays off for San Francisco.
