49ers Kwon Alexander Diagnosed With Torn Pec After Further Examination
By Parker White

The San Francisco 49ers came away with a victory on Thursday to improve to 8-0, but it didn't come without a price, as the Niners lost a key member of their defense to injury.
And on Friday the team's worst fears were confirmed as ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that Kwon Alexander suffered a pec injury and will miss the remainder of the season.

The Pro Bowl linebacker is one of San Francisco's best players on the defensive side of the ball, as he has 34 combined tackles, a forced fumble and interception over eight games this season.
The 25-year-old signed a four-year, $54 million deal with the Niners this past offseason.

Unfortunately, this isn't the only season-ending injury Alexander has suffered, as he only played in six games last year after tearing his ACL in Week 7 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
San Francisco better hope quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo can replicate his performance from Sunday night going forward, as the defense took a massive hit and might not be able to carry the load like they have all year.
