5 Rookies You Should Know For This Year
1. Parris Campbell
Lucks gone. As a Colts fan myself I was left stunned, upset, and utterly defeated. That feeling lasted a few days, till I finally woke up and took a look at our roster, one lined with studs across the board, and a QB who would have been starting for half the teams in the league. One of the names thta has me giddy is second round wideout Parris Campbell. He brings an element of breakout speed that this roster has lacked over the years. For a team that ranked almost dead last in YAC, campbell can be a permanent solutuion. While he may still be a raw route runner, he will be able to line up in the slot and take break out 30 plus yard gains on what was a 5 yard slant. His speed will also help in the return game, which wasn't a strength of last years post season team.
2. Garrett Bradbury
Offensive Lineman will never be the sexy draft pick that gets fans buzzing the way a skill position player does, but they are the most important parts of an offense, and boy did the Vikings do well to address the center position. The addition of Bradbury, considered by many to be the best center prospect in the draft, helps shore up the middle of the line while simaltaneously kicking Pat Elflein to his more natural guard position. The sitch alone should help improve what was a disappointing year for a Vikings team that was praised as a superbowl contender
3. Jerry Tillery
We all know about the dynamic edge duo the Chargers have in Bosa and Ingram, but you will soon learn another, a kid who goes by the name Jerry Tillery. The chargers got close no nothing out of the defensive tackle spot all season, with almost no added pressure being created and a run defense that was gashed all season long up the middle. The addition of Tillery changes that. He totaled 8 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss in his last year at Notre Dame, and he will bring that level of pressure with his to the west coast.
4. Kyler Murray
The Cardinals pass offense stunk last year. They ranked dead last in. passing yards per game and averaged a pultry 5.8 yards per attempt. Enter Kyler Murray. With a head coach that has a system hand made for a QB with Murray's skill set, the offense should blossom. Murray threw for over 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns at Oklahoma last year, and his arm power and scrabling ability had scouts drooling. He knows the offense inside and out, and has plenty of weapons at his disposal, including a healthy David Johnson and old reliable Larry Fitzgerald.
5. Daniel Jones
The most ridiculed pick from this years draft has an opportunity to make one of the biggest impacts. When the giants ownership finally realize what the rest of us have and ditch Manning, they have a QB in Daniels who may give this franchise new life. He looked good in preseason, and with the current weapons and defense the franchise has, it might benefit the Giants to give Daniels an extensive run at QB this season. He could stretch the field the way Manning can't, and a few successful downfield throws would open up plays they just don't have with Manning under center
