5-Star OT Broderick Jones Will Still Visit Auburn and Georgia Fans Should Be Worried
By Michael Luciano
The curious case of Broderick Jones has taken another strange turn. The 5-star offensive tackle prospect has been a Georgia commit for the longest time, but he has yet to sign on the dotted line, opting to take a few more visits before doing so.
Auburn is the latest team that has thrown their hat in the Jones ring, as head coach Gus Malzahn is even going as far as meeting the talented lineman at his house in order to convince him to become a Tiger.
Jones just got back from an out-of-nowhere official visit to Illinois, while the likes of Tennessee and Arkansas have also reached out to the Peach State native.
Despite all of that interest, Jones put out a tweet two days ago that confirmed he is still a UGA commit with plenty of enthusiasm for the Red and Black.
Hmmm. If you're verbally committed to becoming a Dawg, maybe don't give the fan base a heart attack by looking at three other SEC schools.
Just a thought.
In one of the more bizarre recruiting cycles we've seen, Jones claims that his pledge to Georgia is still unwavering despite no fewer than four schools trying to swoop in at the last minute to woo him away. Bulldog fans better cross their fingers that Malzahn doesn't say exactly what Jones wants to hear.
