It appears as though we finally have an answer around the mysterious recruitment of Zach Evans, but it's one Georgia fans are going to hate to see. After signing his National Letter of Intent, the 5-star running back should have been all set to head to Athens.

Per a report, though, Evans won't be playing his college ball for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.

Ranked the No. 1 running back in the country, Evans picked up more than 40 offers this cycle, but picked Georgia and signed his NLI with the program, 247Sports' Chris Hummer reported on Monday. Evans never went public with his decision.

He did say he signed with a team during the Early Signing Period and was supposed to announce his decision over the weekend. Instead, at the Under Armour All-American Game, he said he couldn't answer any questions about his recruitment.

With Georgia set to give Evans an unconditional release from his NLI, he'll now have to go out and find a new school. Programs will be lining up to try and land him, though. His other scholarships included LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Ohio State and many others.

It's been a hectic recruiting process for one of the top talents in the country. While we don't know where he'll end up, we do know it won't be at UGA.
