5-Star Offensive Tackle Broderick Jones Makes Commitment to Georgia Official on National Signing Day
By Michael Luciano
Georgia fans knew that Broderick Jones was committed to them for the longest time, but the fact that he opened his recruiting back up and tried to look at a few other solid programs had to put the entire town of Athens on edge.
Jones re-affirmed his commitment to Kirby Smart and the SEC East champions on Wednesday, as he made his commitment official on National Signing Day, capping off his speech with a "Go Dawgs" for good measure.
Jones committed to Georgia, but he has been looking around at a handful of other schools in the last few weeks. Gus Malzahn and Auburn were trying to swing him at the 11th hour, as were Tennessee and Arkansas. He even took an official visit to Illinois, of all places.
Jones finally put all of those thoughts he could renounce his commitment to bed Wednesday, which gives Georgia one of the strongest classes in the entire country once again.
Jones might have given the Bulldog diehards a heart attack or two when he welcomed interest from other schools as recently as last week, but it appears that was more him covering all of his bases. Exhale, Georgia fans. Jones is a Bulldog.
