The Georgia Bulldogs were left with uncertainty at the quarterback position after three-year starter Jake Fromm decided to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft. Former Wake Forest QB Jamie Newman has since arrived to campus and is the expected starter for 2020.

Behind him, however, is sophomore Stetson Bennett and 2020 four-star recruit Carson Beck. Could a former 5-star signal caller be making his way to campus too?

According to insiders at Dawgs247, JT Daniels is not only high on the Bulldogs, but he's got strong interest in UGA and could commit to the program sooner than later.

This is big news for Smart and the rest of Georgia's staff, and fans should be hyped. Of course, Daniels suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in the Trojans' Week 1 victory over Fresno State back in September.

Unfortunately for Daniels, it appears that season-ending injury cost him his starting job at USC. No. 2 QB Kedon Slovis surprisingly enjoyed a phenomenal season under center, throwing for 3,502 yards and 30 touchdowns, which prompted Daniels to enter the NCAA's transfer portal.

Daniels has a lot to prove in terms of his recovery and rehab, but he would provide experience that is otherwise bereft among Georgia's current quarterback options. The No. 2 pro-style QB in the 2018 class could use a change of scenery, and we couldn't think of a better landing spot for him than Athens. Will the former 5-star QB make this way to Athens? Things are trending in that direction.
