5-Star RB Zach Evans Hints He Might've Signed With Georgia Ahead of Anticipated Decision
By Andy Loughmiller
The College Football Playoff will kick off on Saturday with the Peach and Fiesta Bowls, but it's not too early for college football fans to begin looking ahead to the official signings of highly touted recruits.
The Under Armour All-American Game is scheduled to take place on Jan. 2, and that means several recruits will be announcing the schools they have opted to attend in 2020. 5-Star RB Zachary Evans has already signed but has not publicly advertised which university he chose. However, his latest comments hint that he may be heading to Athens to join Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.
It seems pretty obvious that he is referring to UGA. The Bulldogs have produced backs like Todd Gurley, and Nick Chubb who have become forces in the NFL, as well as Patriots RB and Super Bowl winner Sony Michel, who perfectly fits the bill of the player Evans described.
The 5-star recruit from Houston will make his official announcement during the high school All-American game, so if his latest hint is anything to go by, Bulldogs fans should be ready to celebrate his signing.
Georgia should be able to maintain its image as RBU now that they have a pair of young studs in their backfield to replace D'Andre Swift, who is expected by many to declare for the upcoming NFL Draft.
