The Nashville Predators 2019 campaign came to a disappointing end following their first-round loss to the Dallas Stars. With a long offseason ahead of them, the Predators and general manager David Poile might need to make some moves. This includes sending superstar defenseman PK Subban elsewhere. Here are five teams that could put together substantial trade packages to add Subban to their blue line.

5. New Jersey Devils

The Devils are in desperate need of a star defenseman. With a good chunk of cap space, talented young forwards, and the first pick in this year's draft, the Devils could make a big splash by adding Subban. The Predators could acquire some scoring help from the Devils in a deal that would make Subban New Jersey's biggest superstar defenseman since Scott Stevens.

4. Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers are no stranger to making big deals. With one of the NHL's top players in Connor McDavid, the Oilers can focus on revamping their defensive core. While they have solid players like Adam Larsson and Darnell Nurse manning the blue line, they are still in need of a superstar defenseman to take that core to the next level. With their offensive depth, Edmonton could put together a package that could land them PK Subban.

3. Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver should be eagerly looking for another defenseman to play alongside rookie stud Quinn Hughes, and Subban could be that guy. While the Canucks lack any significant talent outside of forward Brock Boeser, they do have plenty of young players that could be moved to land Subban. With the best defenseman on their roster being a 19 year-old rookie, the Canucks could use an experienced and talented player like Subban to beef up their blue line.

2. New York Rangers

The Rangers have been in a "rebuild" stage over the past several seasons. However, that rebuild hasn't really taken shape. Finishing next-to-last in the Metropolitan Division last season, the Rangers could trade for Subban to give their franchise a new face. With a meager group of players in their roster, the Rangers would need to move a star and some draft picks. This could mean trading treasured forward Chris Kreider to land the 30-year-old defenseman.

1. Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings are another franchise in need of help on the defensive end. With most of their talent isolated to young forwards, Detroit could use the experience and offensive tendencies of Subban. He could also give a serious facelift to an otherwise bland defensive core. By trading away one of their promising forwards and a few draft picks, the Red Wings could have a serious shot at landing Subban.
