76ers' Mike Scott Drops Comical NSFW Quote at the End of His Exit Interview
By Seth Carlson
One day after Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors, the defeated Sixers held media availability with many of the team's main operators. Among the most notable quotes of the media session cane from Mike Scott, who emerged as an important bench contributor as a backup big man.
He made sure to reference his involvement in an altercation between Joel Embiid and Eric Bledsoe during a Sixers-Bucks matchup in April, during which he attempted to throw a ball at Bledsoe but missed. Here's the original iteration of his infamous phrase addressing the incident:
Scott made a point to reference it again in his press conference today as well, putting an exclamation point on his season in the process.
NSFW moments aside, Scott had some quality playoff moments for the Sixers, like his game-winning three point shot in their first-round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets; perhaps he earned a right to have a little fun at his final media session.
After Kawhi Leonard drained an incredible game-winning shot with time expiring in Game 7 Sunday, Scott was able to provide a little lightheartedness in an otherwise gloomy aftermath for Philadelphia. Perhaps Bledsoe will have something to say in response when his Bucks take on the Raptors with a spot in the NBA Finals on the line.
