As if Alex Rodriguez needed more cash in his life, he just obtained another chunk by offloading something he definitely doesn't need right now: a bachelor pad.

Likely by mandate of Jennifer Lopez and his children-by-marriage, Rodriguez's Hollywood Hills bachelor pad is gonzo, dumped for a sum of $4.4 million (otherwise known as 1.16% of his record-setting contract with the Texas Rangers).

Rodriguez purchased this pad in 2014 from equally-talented baseball player Meryl Streep, and the unique building dates back to the '50s, when it was initially crafted as part of an architectural research program.

While we totally understand the need to offload it (after all, J. Lo can't be in two places at one), we sort of wish Rodriguez and Streep had gotten together for a little cosplay in the old stomping grounds before both sold it. Maybe Meryl reprises her "Big Little Lies" role and coldly pries into A-Rod's personal life in order to get him to confess to commissioning the centaur painting?

Just spitballing.
