VIDEO: Aaron Boone and Yankees Surprise New Jersey High School Teacher
By Michael Luciano

A precalculus teacher at Ramapo High School in New Jersey, identified as Mr. Barber, suffered a concussion and required several stitches after a bad fall down a flight of stairs. As a way to reward him for coming to class and teaching the very next day after his operation, his students came together to get Barber, a huge New York Yankees fan, tickets to the Yankees' home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. Yankees manager Aaron Boone improved upon that original offer in a short video message, as he offered Barber tickets to the second game of the season as well a chance to watch batting practice.
We saw some Ramapo High School seniors surprise their favorite teacher, so we decided to add in a few surprises of our own. https://t.co/wCWWjbZx2b pic.twitter.com/PEOPN7odrV

If Barber's reaction doesn't get your waterworks flowing, nothing will. This is awesome in so many ways.
While we wish that Barber didn't have to take such a nasty spill to get his Yankees tickets, his class gets a major tip of the cap, as their initiative and selflessness is second to none.
The world needs more of these students!

We need more selfless acts of compassion and kindness like this in the world today. They're certainly teaching kids all the right things over at Ramapo.
