Aaron Boone Reveals Yankees' Slugger Edwin Encarnacion Has Resumed Baseball Activities
By Parker White

The New York Yankees received great news yesterday after it was reported that first baseman Luke Voit was set to begin his rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton. And it looks like another first base slugger is starting to make his way back to the Bronx.
According to Yankee manager Aaron Boone, Edwin Encarnacion has resumed baseball activities.

Encarnacion has been out since early-August with a fractured wrist, so it's a good sign that he's resuming baseball activities. The veteran slugger has advanced to hitting off a tee and taking ground balls, per Boone.

The Yankees are doing fine offensively without Encarnacion, but his power bat in the middle of the order will only take this offense to another level.
In 36 games with the Yankees, Encarnacion is slashing .238/.327/.497 with nine home runs and 27 RBI. On the season between New York and Seattle, the 36-year-old has 30 home runs and 76 RBI.
Age hasn't slowed down EE, and while this injury put him on the shelf for a while, it looks like he'll be back in action soon.
