The final affects of Aaron Hernandez's criminal charges in 2017 are finally being laid to rest.

The estate of the former Florida Gators and New England Patriots star settled a wrongful death lawsuit from the families of the two men he was accused of killing in 2012.

The terms of the settlements have not been disclosed and will reportedly remain confidential according to the Furtado family lawyer. The only thing that has been released is the fact that none of Hernandez's assets had been used in the settlement.

Hernandez was criminally charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu, but was acquitted in 2017. He was also acquitted of allegedly shooting former friend Alexander Bradley in Florida just days after the double homicide.

At the time of his death, Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.

Both Bradley and the Lloyd family had already settled with Hernandez prior to this lawsuit. Neither of the settlements have been disclosed.
